Air pollution - overview page

This page serves as an annotated table of contents to NERI's web pages on air pollution. You can use the entries below or the menu on the left to access pages.

3-day forecasts for air pollution in Denmark
NERI produces 3-day forecasts for air pollution over Denmark, using the so-called Thor system.
Air quality monitoring
Here is access to an extensive set of information on the Danish air quality monitoring networks and on the observed air pollution levels. You can inspect graphs etc. concerning both recent measurements (e.g. daily ozone levels) and longer time series (many pollutants).
Dispersion models  (OML, OSPM, AirGIS, ACDEP, DEM, DREAM, THOR, COPREM)
NERI develops and maintains several atmospheric dispersion models. Some of the models have a relatively large user community, while others mainly are for research. Here is access to information concerning the models. For some of the models you will find model results, describing the level of air pollution in Denmark and the neighbouring countries.
Emission inventories
Access to a comprehensive hierarchy of pages concerning Danish inventories of emissions to the atmosphere.
International networks and projects within the field of air pollution (Harmonisation initiative, NORPAC, COST 732, COST 633, COST 710, COST 715, TRAPOS, WEPTEL, EUROAIR, SARA, LIFE, GLOREAM, DSAR)
NERI participates in many international collaboration networks within the field of air pollution, and it hosts websites for several such networks.
Publications on air pollution
Entry to literature concerning air pollution. You will find information on books, technical reports, research notes and scientific papers that have NERI staff as authors. Many publications are available on-line.
Workshops and conferences
Here is access to information concerning workshops and conferences on air pollution where NERI has had a major role. The information concerns forthcoming as well as previously held conferences.
Department of Atmospheric Environment (ATMI)
The homepage for NERI's Department of Atmospheric Environment gives access to lists of staff, of current projects etc.
