The Danish Society of Atmospheric Research
is a forum for scientists to meet and exchange information on new
results, strategies, and trends affecting research. The society is open for individual
membership, both from universities, sector research institutes, and private industry.
The society normally organises a yearly conference.
However, in 2003 no
conference is held.
The chairman of DSAR is Ole Hertel (National Environmental Research Institute, Roskilde), and the secretary is
Niels Otto Jensen (Risų). The steering board has members from the dominant organizations
which carry out research in the atmospheric sciences: National Environmental Research
Institute; Risų National Laboratory; Danish Meteorological Institute; and the University
of Copenhagen - CU. Other dominant organizations carrying out atmospheric research include
the University of Odense, Danish Agricultural Research Center, and DK-Teknik.
