Information about the REMAPE workshop

1. Where will the Workshop be held?

The workshop will be held at the University of Copenhagen. The precise address is:

It is best to ask at your hotel how to come to the Institute. If the worst happens: you are lost and cannot find the place, then call the reception of the Institute (Phone: 3532 5960 or 3532 0601) and ask for some help.

2. Time-schedule for the Workshop

The registration will start at 9:30 on September 26. The opening of the Workshop will be at 10:00

The Workshop will be finished with a common discussion about the future of the REMAPE project on September 27 (after lunch). It is expected that this discussion will be closed at about 3:00.

Small changes in this time-schedule may be made if necessary (but we shall try to avoid this).

3. Duration of the talks

All talks are scheduled as 20 min. talks (about 15 min. for the talk itself and about 5 min for discussion). The speakers are kindly asked to adjust their talks according to this requirement.

Overhead projectors will be available. If anybody needs anything else for her/his talk, then she/he is kindly asked to contact me as soon as possible.

4. Lunches and coffee breaks

Lunches will be served in the canteen of the Institute (the price is included in the workshop fee). Coffee (the price is also included in the workshop fee) will be served near the lecture room.

5. Workshop dinner

The workshop dinner will be in restaurant l'Alsace on September 26 at 19:30. The address of the restaurant is:

You are asked to tell the people at the registration desk if you have some special wishes (as, for example, vegetarian foot). This should be done before lunch on September 26.

6. How to go from the airport to your hotel?

The easiest way is to take the SAS Bus from the airport to the Central Railway Station (prise 35 DKR). There is an information office at the Central Railway Station where you can ask how to go to you hotel. Some of the hotels are very near to the Central Railway Station.

You could also take a taxi from the airport to your hotel (price: between 100 and 200 DKK).

7. Fax, e-mail, phone

If you want to receive faxes during the workshop, then you should use the fax number: +45 35 36 53 57 Please, ask the people who are sending you the fax to put a reference "REMAPE Workshop" on the fax (to facilitate the procedure of finding you).

We are trying to organize reading and sending e-mail messages. This will probably be arranged. Information about the e-mail messages will be available at the registration desk.

If you want to phone, then ask the people at the registration desk for help. If anybody is to call you, tell him to refer to the REMAPE Workshop (and to use the following two phone numbers: +45 3532 5960 (reception of the Institute) or +45 3532 0601 (the Department of Geophysics).

8. Meeting rooms

The talks will be held in the big Lecture Room of the Institute. There will be a smaller room where some separate meetings and discussions can take place.
