2nd GLOREAM/EURASAP Workshop

Modern developments in modelling and chemical data analysis

The general aim of the workshop is to present and discuss results concerning recent developments in tropospheric chemical transport modelling. The workshop is open to everybody working within the field of air pollution modelling.

Prof. Peter Builtjes, TNO, will chair the workshop.

Local organisers are Jørgen Brandt and Lise M. Frohn, National Environmental Research Institute.

The workshop will begin on Monday, September 6, 2004, 10:00 am.

The workshop will end on Wednesday, September 8, 2004, noon.

The GLOREAM/EURASAP Workshop is a combination of the previously existing research programme GLOREAM (GLObal and REgional Modelling) and EURASAP (European Association for the Science of Air Pollution).

 

Workshop venue

The workshop will be held at the Copenhagen central harbour area in the building of the Environmental Agency of Copenhagen (Miljøkontrollen), which has kindly made the conference room available for the workshop. The conference room is called "Trekanten" (the Triangle), and is located with a view over the harbour.

Accommodation

There are many hotels in Copenhagen. We have made a special arrangement with the hotel "DGI-byens Hotel", which is located close to the conference venue and next to the Copenhagen Central Train Station (Hovedbanegården), which again is 12 minutes by train from the airport.

In order to book a hotel room, refer to the booking No. 39146 and GLOREAM. The price for a single room is Dkr 750.- (around 100 Euro) including breakfast, free access to the spa in the sanatorium and free access to the public swimming baths (bassin) in DGI-byen.

Travel information

The Hotel is located right next to the central railway station in Copenhagen. From the airport, trains are leaving regularly to the Central Station (travel time 12 min). After arrival at the train station go in the direction opposite to the train direction, thereby following the track to the bridge and up to the street "Tietgensgade". The hotel is located to the right 100 m down the street.

The workshop venue is located at Kalvebod Brygge 45. From the hotel or from the central station, follow the street "Tietgensgade" (passing the central station) to the first crossroad "Bernstorffsgade". Turn right with direction to the harbour and then turn right at "Kalvebod Brygge". Miljøkontrollen at No. 45, is located 500 m down the street at the harbour side.
