Redesign of NERI’s website, 2009: Common design and structure at AU

As an offshoot of the merger with e.g. NERI, Aarhus University (AU) has developed a new, common AU design line, which NERI is now taking into use. At the same time work has been carried out to harmonise the structure of AU's websites across its core activities.

The design signals our affiliation with AU. Moreover, we hope you will be pleased to see that the width of the pages has now been made fluid, so we can exploit screen width better. The pages are optimised to a screen width of 1,024 pixels, but we have worked to make viewing satisfactory for all the most usual screen sizes.

The most noticeable changes in the structure of dmu.dk are:

  • We have set up a range of access options for the most important user groups. This is designed as a shortcut to the most relevant information.
  • In the main menu, there are new buttons for ‘Research’, ‘Climate’ and ‘Education’. Also, ‘Soil’ has been extended to ‘Chemistry and GMO’ and ‘Monitoring’ to ‘Public service consultancy’ – at the same as a range of information on monitoring has been transferred to the Agency for Spatial and Environmental Planning.

If you are responsible for a website that links to any of these pages it would be a good idea to update these links.
