The Department of Atmospheric Environment (ATMI) conducts work within the following fields:
- Monitoring and mapping of the air quality in Denmark and Arctic;
- Research, development and application of atmosphere chemical dispersion models: scenarios, air pollution prognoses, air pollution from traffic, and human exposure;
- Studies, analyses, and models for toxic pollutants: transport, transformation and fate.
- Product control of various compounds and products for the Danish EPA.
- Data center (FDC), Nationalt Reference Center (NRC) og reference laboratory for air pollution.
Accreditation of ATMI according to ISO 17025 to make ambient air pollution measurements and test for pesticides in water.
