Accreditation of ATMI

The Department of Atmospheric Environment (ATMI) is accredited to carry out ambient air pollution measurements and measurements of pesticides in water and dioxin in sludge.

The accreditation is according to the European standard ISO 17025 and is given by DANAK which is the Danish body for laboratory accreditation.


A description of the sampling methods, the analysis methods and the direct measurements which are accredited can be inspected in the database of DANAK. The accreditation number for NERI is 411.

New organisation

As per 1 July 2011 the National Environmental Research Institute (NERI) has been closed down. The research activities are now gathered at the Department of Bioscience and the Department of Environmental Science. In the future, consultancy services to authorities etc. will be provided by the DCE - Danish Centre for Environment and Energy on the basis of input from these two and other Aarhus University departments.
