Monitoring, Advice and Research Secretariat


Scientific secretariat with reference to the management.  

Responsibilities

NERI's strategies and research plans; collaboration with national and international research institutes and authorities; coordination of national monitoring activities; coordination of international reporting of monitoring; national focus point in relation to the European Environment Agency; internal coordination in NERI, including secretariat to the board; participation in national as well as international research programs.

New organisation

As per 1 July 2011 the National Environmental Research Institute (NERI) has been closed down. The research activities are now gathered at the Department of Bioscience and the Department of Environmental Science. In the future, consultancy services to authorities etc. will be provided by the DCE - Danish Centre for Environment and Energy on the basis of input from these two and other Aarhus University departments.
