biodiversity

We develop predictive models for the biodiversity in streams, lakes and river valley relative to impact factors of physical, chemical and biological nature. Our research is focused on interactions between catchment characteristics and the appearance of species within and outside NATURA 2000 areas. We undertake biodiversity analyses at various scales.

Biodiversity in river valleys
In connection with the PhD-project ”Effects of nutrients and hydromorphological interactions across the stream-floodplain ecotone on plant communities” we investigate...read more

Seed spreading in streams
We study how plant seeds spread and establish in streams and river valleys and how seed impacts affect biodiversity. By way of example we investigate how many and which seeds...read more
