RISKPOINT

When pesticides and other environmentally hazardous substances are discharged into streams or are washed out from fields during precipitation events, part of the substances are effectively bound to the bottom of the streams (the sediment).

At a large number of localities within the same stream system we investigate whether there is a connection between the occurrence of the small animal fauna and pesticides and whether the occurrence of small animals can be linked to the use of the stream catchments.

The investigations are part of the project RISKPOINT in which multiple research institutes participate.
