Strategy

NERI's strategy stipulates strategic targets towards which NERI will work in the coming years in order to maintain and develop scientific competence to deliver a scientific platform for environmental politics and administration. The strategy describes NERI's visions and stipulates strategic goals which NERI will pursue in the period.

NERI Strategy 2008-2012

NERI's Contract 2008-2011 with the Danish Ministry of the Environment

NERI has entered a 4-year contract with the Ministry of the Environment in Denmark. The contract concerns environmental research, monitoring and consultancy services, and places NERI as the main scientific advisor for the Danish government in the field of the environment. The annual budget in the contract amounts to about 20 million EURO.

New organisation

As per 1 July 2011 the National Environmental Research Institute (NERI) has been closed down. The research activities are now gathered at the Department of Bioscience and the Department of Environmental Science. In the future, consultancy services to authorities etc. will be provided by the DCE - Danish Centre for Environment and Energy on the basis of input from these two and other Aarhus University departments.
