Zackenberg Basic collects long-term series of baseline data on the function of the marine and terrestrial high arctic ecosystems at Zackenberg.
As such, Zackenberg Basic provides multi-disciplinary data, which describe the variation in different parameters within each year as well as the year to year variations of these parameters.
The monitoring at Zackenberg Station comprises both the terrestrial and the marine environment, and in both environments, biotic as well as abiotic parameters are measured.
