NOMIRACLE: Novel Methods for Integrated Risk Assessment of Cumulative Stressors in Europe

Environmental as well as human health scientists from 17 European countries participate in a large EU-project, NOMIRACLE. The objective of NOMIRACLE is to support a new EU action plan regarding environment and health. The goal is to develop methods and models that can lead to better risk assessment of chemicals. The scientists study the effects of the chemical mixtures and the interactions with other factors such as climate change and bacteria.

Dr. Hans Løkke , NERI, is leading the project.

New organisation

As per 1 July 2011 the National Environmental Research Institute (NERI) has been closed down. The research activities are now gathered at the Department of Bioscience and the Department of Environmental Science. In the future, consultancy services to authorities etc. will be provided by the DCE - Danish Centre for Environment and Energy on the basis of input from these two and other Aarhus University departments.
