SSP3, Standat Service Programme Version 3, is a programme for reading and validating of STANDAT files. For instance can min/max limits of values, occurrence of data, occurrence in code tables, valid values and to some extent combinations of types of data within a theme be controlled.

SSP3 can be found as a ZIP file (approx. 12 mbyte) in the STANDAT library.

Installation of SSP3 follows the screen dialogue:

1. Create a new library, e.g. C:\SSP3.
2. Pick the zipped SSP3 file and zipped file with the latest updated codelists from the STANDAt Library.
3. Unzip the files with WinZip or similar and save in the same new library.
4. After the unzipping of SSP3 you get a SetUp-application. Double click on this. During the SetUp you have to give a library. Select the same as previous. “SSP3 check” is now installed, but not with the latest updated code lists.
5. In order to import the latest updated code lists into SSP3 you have to use the functions: “Funktioner”, “Vedligehold kodelister”, “Filer” and “Importer kodelister”. Then you have to tell where the code lists can be found.
6. After import of the latest updated code lists you have to restart SSP3 before the import is visible.
