At NERI we address several aspects of pesticides in relation to the environment, including how and to which extent pesticides are spread in the environment (fate, including dispersion models), the exposure of non-target organisms within agricultural fields and in natural habitats, effects of pesticides on target and non-target organisms at all biological levels and biomarkers of exposure and effects. Our experience from laboratory, green house and field experiments is applied e.g. in relation to risk assessment and to evaluate measures aimed at reducing pesticide usage in the most environment-friendly way as demanded in Pesticide Action Plans II (in danish) and III (in danish).

NERI works with pesticide issues covering: fate and effect studies, test methods, dispersion models, risk assessment and risk analysis, environmental sociology and environmental economics.
